Within a year of working here in Thailand, one thing I unexpectedly enjoyed was exploring different cafés around Bangkok.
Honestly, most of the cafés I visited were first discovered through social media. You know how one random video suddenly appears on your feed, then before you know it, you’re already saving the location and adding it to your “must-visit” list? That’s exactly how it started for me. What usually catches my attention are cafés with aesthetic atmospheres, unique concepts, and relaxing interiors that make the place feel more than just somewhere to drink coffee.
And among the cafés I’ve visited so far, one of the first ones I went to, was Baan Suan Sathorn Carp & Cafe.
The Cafe
What made this place memorable for me was how magical the atmosphere felt despite being located within the city. Conveniently enough, it was also just nearby my condo, which made it an easy escape whenever I wanted a change of environment.
The café has this relaxing forest vibe the moment you step inside. It’s surrounded with lush trees, calming greenery, a koi pond filled with colorful fish, and even a small waterfall tucked in one corner of the place. But what truly elevated the experience for me was the strategically placed smoke machine that added this dreamy, fairytale-like atmosphere around the café. Combined with the sound of flowing water and nature-inspired setup, the place honestly felt like a hidden magical escape in the middle of Bangkok.

Another thing I found interesting is that the café is actually connected to Park Sathorn Restaurant — making it a two-in-one destination for both coffee lovers and food enthusiasts.

Park Sathorn Restaurant offers the same relaxing garden-inspired ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas surrounded by trees, a simulated waterfall, and the same koi pond that ties the entire place together beautifully. Despite being located in a busy city, the atmosphere somehow makes you forget the noise outside and gives you that peaceful, forest-like feeling instead.
The Food
Both cafés also serve a variety of Thai and international dishes, making the place perfect not only for coffee dates but even for casual lunch or dinner gatherings. They also offer a wide selection of drinks ranging from coffee, tea, refreshing fruit beverages, and other café favorites.
And of course, don’t leave without trying their desserts. Their cheesecake was rich, creamy, and satisfying, while the mango sticky rice gave that authentic Thai sweetness that perfectly matched the overall experience. Honestly, enjoying desserts while surrounded by the relaxing garden atmosphere made the visit feel even more comforting and memorable.

How to get there
Baan Suan Sathorn is located at 60 Chuea Phloeng 2 Alley, Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120
The closest train stations to the café are BTS Chong Nonsi and MRT Lumphini, but personally, I’d recommend taking the BTS route since it’s easier and more straightforward for first-time visitors.
Step-by-Step Directions via BTS Skytrain (Recommended)
Start by walking from CentralWorld to either BTS Siam Station or BTS Chit Lom Station through the connected SkyWalk pathways.
From there, take the Sukhumvit Line heading toward Siam Station. Once you arrive at Siam, transfer to the Silom Line and continue the ride until BTS Chong Nonsi Station.
After arriving at Chong Nonsi Station, head out through Exit 4 or 5. From there, you can easily book a Grab or Bolt ride, or simply hail a taxi going to Baan Suan Sathorn Carp & Cafe. The ride usually costs around ฿70–฿100 depending on traffic and only takes a few minutes via Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Road and Yen Akat Road.
For a more stress-free trip, especially if you’re staying far from train stations, you can always book a Grab or Bolt ride straight to the café entrance. 😁
To wrap this up, I genuinely enjoy café hopping here in Thailand. Sometimes, it’s not even about the coffee anymore — it’s the experience, the ambiance, and the temporary escape from reality that make these cafés worth visiting.
